Today's highlights
- Ate two breakfasts
- Bought sunscreen and it was half full (or half empty). Took it back and looked at all the other sunscreens. They were all half full, too.
- A guy met us at the exact same place and followed the exact same script as yesterday trying to get us to buy stuff at a market.
- We were DAZZLED by the beauty of the temple of the Emerald Buddha (that is really jade) and the Grand Palace.
- Went to lunch at Jim Thompson's house. Ate amazingly delicious Thai food: Pat Thai, eggplant stuffed with shrimp and a topping of pork, garlic shrimp, and pomelo, toasted coconut, and peanut salad. Our best meal here so far.
- Took a tour of Jim Thompson's house.
- On the way back to the hotel, bought snacks: sweet waffles for Sam, noodles, a mystery fruit, and pomelo.

How did that half full sunscreen work out? Are you a sunscreen half full or sunscreen half empty kind of person?
I'm trying to be a half-full kind of person, but sometimes it really is just half empty. It depends on the day, though. In Thailand everything seemed half full.
